17.03.2025 (1): Minor Miracle

Had a minor miracle today in that I managed to plan and write and revise in a fairly short space of time. I think I've had a nice illumination (fingers crossed it's not a night glare) about the small-town politics of my AU. I don't think I'll put in anything terribly complex or sinister, but my characters do move with some agency and some view of their interests. I think Aunn will be a nice political actor, as will Reimu, Sanae, Kanako and Suwako (very obviously and directly related). I think I'll lean into the politic side of politics: nobody will be strangling each other, but there's some movement, some effort to effect wished-for outcomes. Of course Reisen has her own wants as well.

I had this illumination while eating at a restaurant with friends. I didn't read much fiction today but did read about South Korea's feminism and their 2018 #MeToo moments. I'm still procrastinating on my crack pairing...
