Sunshowers at Noon

I am reading The Pumpkin Eater, a distressing novel about my upcoming marriage (maybe with less children). I wrote a little to express how anguished I am and how my work beats, beats against my head. I know this is disproportionate, but maybe it is not. It is not.

I still refuse to stop and lay down all my artsy ambitions, but the pressure is mounting... I did write. Badly.

I do not want to live a life dictated by deadlines. But I have been living such a life. I need to find a way to stop myself from locking up whenever I'm confronted by deadlines. I suspect this will demand of me some degree of courage and I think I am lacking that. But I can try.

I'm writing something related to villainesses. I finished reading The Hour of the Star, in case you couldn't tell.

Second round. A little disappointment is creeping in, I think... but I managed to finish The Summer War today. Very fun novella. I did write a little, and I did write a lot yesterday. I wrote my isekai.

After an extended absence: reading Shizuko's Daughter, a book I am very pleasantly surprised by. And in the writing department, a new wish-fulfillment story. Very tired, however. But I will pull through.

I have a lot of revisions to complete by Monday. Goodness. Goodness.

I finished Hyperpolitics in one day and it makes for some sad reading. Still, it was great. I did write a little.

I read and finished Killing Stella. Infuriating and sad, I cannot genuinely say that I wouldn't act the same way as Anna did: justifying her lack of action. I had shoulder pain today and this enhanced the pain of the reading experience. Goodness. I didn't write properly even though I had a head start in the morning.
