Carson McCullers month! My favorite author, among my first literary loves (my first: Terry Pratchett, my second: Arundhati Roy, my third: Richard Yates). Recently, a biography came out, and I've been slowly going through all her fiction, apace with my biography-reading.
  • Carson McCullers: A Life, Mary V. Dearborn, Knopf, 2024.
  • Wunderkind (Collected Short Stories), Carson McCullers, Penguin, 2013.
  • The Heart is a Lonely Hunter, Carson McCullers, Mariner Books, 1940.
  • Carson McCullers: Stories, Plays & Other Writings, Carson McCullers, Library of America, 2017.
Carson shines even brighter this time around.
