10.05.2025 (1): Cafe Day

In an effort to escape my parents for a day (long holiday), I will spend today in a series of cafes, hopefully somewhere nice and cool, and then cap the day off with a swim (fingers crossed!), and then hopefully write after that. Anticipating a nice long cafe stay and staring out at the sun outside. If nothing else I will have gone outside the house.

Of course I'm going to bring my whole troop of books: Alice Munro, and Megan Lindholm's first novella entitled A Touch of Lavender. Now to seek out somewhere sheltered and nostalgic (preferably with easy access to ice-cream)...
