06.06.2025 (1): A Gameshow Idea?
Nearly finished with The Wren, The Wren and had a pretty good idea of having interstitial chapters for my AU, telling about Reisen's encounters with her everyday life: in this case, a recording of Reimu when she was on national television, in a sort of gameshow! I'm excited since this means I get to add alternate history stuff without grinding the narrative to a halt.
Also I'm going on a small holiday tomorrow, which is exciting. Going to an anime convention and meeting old friends. Going to bring along The Stand (sorry Stephen King, your writing's very engaging but also very easy to split past). Worried about sleeplessness today so I'll be going to sleep early.
Also I'm always, always trying to rein myself in and not be distracted (so much to do!) But I think I'm succeeding, even though I physically need to wrest myself into that more thoughtful state of mind. Abstract thought really is difficult sometimes.
As for writing, I enjoyed today's session because it came out of nowhere. Today's experience:
