27.06.2025 (1): Lots of (Academic) Writing Done!
I wrote 2000 words... but on the academic paper I'll be presenting soon. I do think the experience of absolutely rushing this paper has taught me to start early and start unhesitatingly in the morning - otherwise the thing does dog you around all day, and a day spent procrastinating feels rather icky. I think I'll try this again tomorrow.
I did read some bits of The Cormorant, but the horror of the thing did not quite seep in because I was mostly thinking about my academic paper. Same with my fiction-writing today. It seems like this weekend will have to be devoted to academic writing and job-related stuff.
