Day 42.2: And So

Despite what I wrote earlier I went on to write, and the writing I ended up with was quite nice to read. Which means, fortunately, that whatever anxiety flings at me I will always be free to write. And I mean that in the most loving way possible: I live with this white-snake woman, you see...

I wrote mostly about Seiran's attitude towards her shyness and isolation. I don't think she's friendless: she's just one of those people stuck in the shallows, outside the emotional depths she wants to swim in. I don't think people have to do anything special to get stuck there. Seiran's there simply because her network-voice grates a little, and she's shy besides. She isn't at the point of desperate neediness either; she's only quietly dissatisfied with her relationships, and is trying to do more. Of course being flung to earth makes this a lot worse.

I think I'm mostly writing character things to flesh out Seiran's character, which is always a good thing.
