Day 54.1: Planned Scene!
I started very, very early today on writing and managed to plan a scene! And gotten the rigging done on the Seiran zine-fic continuation. I think I've figured out the fundamental direction of the fic: It's going to be about love, but also about flipflopping! Something everyone can feel for I think. Seiran is someone who plays it very safe: she knows she's pretty much disposable (on the moon) and so she's learned to be very, very quiet - although she's not really a bootlicker, she knows when to deploy flattery, and she's constantly alert about her position in certain situations. She's hyper-aware about her position in any sort of situation, and always tries to position herself as basically harmless and quiet. This is despite her having many, many interesting things she wants to share with others. Sometimes she can't keep them in and showboats.
Seiran then plays at being a very phlegmatic sort of person. She's not actually, but this is what she plays at to survive on the moon. Her time on earth will be about very gradually dismantling that, and also about a one-sided love.
I also helped several people finish their zine fics! I'm excited to sharpen Seiran's 'drive', as despite her appearing to be phlegmatic, she is (like most other people) looking for love and company and somewhere nice to live.
Also, today I felt that productive 'annoyedness' that comes with having a clear vision for a scene!
