Day 192.2: More Solid

• Was a lot more composed today in writing, although still distracted. I'm thinking that maybe distraction is just my brain taking breaks from the concentration of trying to write Del. I've always been bad at ceding control. Maybe tomorrow I'll try walking around the block as I've sometimes done.
• The rhythms for this chapter still don't feel right, although it is a first draft, so I'll have to cut things up later...
• I'm liking the less melancholic tone Del is taking for this chapter. She's not just permanently sad. She's trying to joke a little.
• I think I'm writing a good capsule of a girl growing up! (Subject to revisions later)

I also finished The Beggar Maid and wow I am appreciating it much more this time around. One of the best Munros definitely, for me. The breadth alone qualifies it for that.
