Day 208.1: The View from Castle Rock
This book feels experimental for Munro. She does something surprising and risky (I think) in the first story: She lays out her history. I think this is the equivalent of a magician showing her tricks - she lays out the base stuff she'll then convert into something magical. The second chapter is of course lies. I did not get this the first time around: I thought this was the most boring Munro book. But this time around I'm keying into the subtleties a bit more (at least I hope).
