sunshowerdandelion | Day 216.1 & 217.1: Work and Play

Work and play overtook me these past two days. Yesterday play, today work: end result being that nothing substantial got written. I'll smush together yesterday and today's story notes:

Ack! I missed my daily check-in because I was gunning to finish a game last night, but I initially wrote quite well in the morning, and then work happened
Didn't get much writing done at all today nor any reading due to a sudden onslaught of work and Christmas-related happenings, but I think I've maintained my carefulness with this story and it's nice!
I am definitely setting aside time tomorrow to catch up on reading and ponder about writing

Of course I finished the game that was obsessing me today, which will hopefully keep the brainworms in check for a few days. I've decided on a more relaxed policy of game-playing because the restriction was making me crave games. Maybe if I get bored of them again (which I will), they'll fade on their own. I remember when I was writing my big fic (tm) I played games quite regularly and quite freely, so maybe it'll work better than abstinence.
