29.04.2025: Deciding to History

I think from now on I'll try to write 1-3 things in the vein of The Years every day and maybe by the time I'm 40, I'll have enough to accumulate into a novel. Today these impressions were vivid for me:

• Seeing a few birds perched on a branch of a tree growing out of an abandoned lot. The tree was very vivid against the rubble and white pieces of painted brick. The birds seemed to be talking to each other. This was seen from a place of higher vantage.
• Crying several times reading In This Corner of the World (the manga). Strange experience of crying at a panel of the manga and then being rather jolly about the next one, and then crying several panels later.

As for writing, today I tried to write more of my original fiction, but I'm struggling a little with what I want to write on that, beyond wish fulfillment.
