I wrote slowly today! I think this session was definitely inspired by Eudora Welty and Delta Wedding obviously, and I'll have to keep this tenor. In general I shouldn't start late, unless I'm thinking of a scene, and need reading-time to work it out. My method is to think of a scene then read a book, and sometimes the scene gathers detail and by the end of my reading session I'll have accreted enough details that I can't wait to write. Today I wrote a scene of Reisen asking Seiran about her belongings on the moon, but the prologue itself is a little scene, with Reisen having absorbed my headcanon Kaguya's hunger for secrets, and Seiran being disgusted at hunger. I think it's pretty nice for a first draft, and I'm definitely going to try doing this again tomorrow.
