Day 129.1: Books! Lots of Books!

Very spendy month, this September. I bought a game controller I didn't need, but also various books, some of them very rare it seems. I'm very, very happy that I snagged Winter Love and Cast But One Shadow both by Han Suyin. I think I'll get her ...And the Rain My Drink as well, and possible A Many Splendored Thing all secondhand (I love, love secondhand books, I love books that've been passed down from generation to generation, I love their smell, their texture, the little weight of memory they have). Seems like she was a particular favorite here, what with her writing about the Postcolonial Condition and being Chinese.

I also got Anne Karenina! Better late than never, so they say.

And of course I got the hardcover of Sarah Manguso's Liars, because there weren't any paperback versions too! So looking forward to that. I love books so much I'm going to vomit! My paltry salary is also gone so I guess it's instant noodles and tuna shreds time.
