sunshowerdandelion: (slurp)

I think I'm reading the love chapters of the book, since chapter after chapter the characters have been caught in compromising attitudes of love. First and most obviously: Singer and his love for Antonapoulos, which is pure in that the latter is unable to reciprocate. Second, everyone else's love for Singer. Singer has an obvious dream of himself being worshiped by the 'four' and himself worshiping Antonapoulos. Third, Biff's love for Mick - which I think is motherly and giving, but very obviously fenced off by his masculinity. Finally Mick's love for music (which throbs intensely through), Singer, and her budding love for Harry. I love love how Mick's 'inside room' is so very detailed. Even in my very sleepy state I'm picking up the wonderfully vivid descriptions of love and its pure pain and am in awe.
