sunshowerdandelionI rewrote some earlier parts of the fic to show that Del has more control over the relationship, at least the beginning stages, and is not a stellar person really. Still: Abuse is abuse, but given that Del is still trying to explain the relationship to herself, it's pretty strongly shown that this is part of what gets her questioning. The answer is no: Del, you're being preyed on by a youkai. I didn't write as much as I wanted today, but I did finish a book.
Summer, Fireworks, and My Corpse scared me a bit, at the end especially. Very nicely creepy Japanese story, with what I've come to associate as a uniquely Japanese twist where it's suddenly very cruel at the end. Genuine shivers! Very effective for me.
