Not much writing done today since I had 12 hours of work, but I managed to slip away this afternoon to go to a used bookstore, and surprise surprise I found an Elizabeth Taylor book! A View of the Harbor, and also a Joyce Carol Oates (We Were the Mulvaneys)! I'm definitely spoiled for choice now, I really want to read Taylor's fine, painterly prose but I also need Oates's sense of motion, so maybe I'll read Oates first. I also tried reading some fantasy but it wasn't what I expected, and so I stopped. Tomorrow I'm planning to read the Oates.
Writing did not happen today, but I did stare at a document for half an hour.

- Not much writing done today, not much focus. Had work from 6 am till 6 pm and all I want to do is lie down and Not Work for days. Good thing it's a Friday! (I don't want to jinx this, I don't want to lose my job.)
- Decided that my earlier draft might be better, with a few modifications from the later draft. When Del's asked to tell her story slower, she really slows down and then I never get to the actual Touhou bits.
