Day 190.3: Shuffling Words Around...

• Was irritable today, and writing did not pan out well for me. I had that strange restlessness that comes from not shifting from my everyday way of thinking (What's next? What fires do I have to put out next?) to my arty way of thinking (Stick with the scene. Be patient.) Tomorrow I'll try to see if I can transition into that state first.
• Still got writing done, so I'm proud of that at least.
• Still got planning done, and visualizing my characters and scenes. I think (and this is still tentative) I think Del, my main character, doesn't really get the sort of hardscrabble life foxes have to live, especially ghost foxes, and that sometimes personality and scruples are luxuries. This totally did not come from reading The Beggar Maid.
