25.02.2025 (1): False Note Struck

• Did get a bit of editing done but today I had a very full day (tomorrow as well I expect...)
• I have an emotional 'false note' in this chapter. This character isn't very emotional, but I have to figure out how she'll keep her subdued-ness while also expressing the fear that something is getting further and further away from her. I have scribbles on what to do for tomorrow, though.

That character is, of course, Reisen. I don't think this AU Reisen would own up to being that lonely and in need of friends, but there is a grain of a thing here, where maybe she'll try to extend the conversation and ask for something in a matter-of-fact manner. She's so shy! Tomorrow I'll think of ways to make her demand what she wants.

Maybe she'll do something she considers embarrassing and regret it, a la A Queer Streak?
