I think I'm having real dilemmas again in writing, which means I'm taking this chapter seriously again and not just putting in everything I can think of. Sometimes that approach works, but I think my best writing comes from economy, and I love above all genius novellas and striking short stories. Novels are really great but I think novellas are the neatest, sharpest knives in the drawer.

I unfortunately did not have time for much reading. I'm rather regretting it, but then I did have to get up super early and get dragged to work. Tomorrow, I will try to do better.

I'm reading Monkey Grip still but also taking glances at Too Much Happiness (Munro) because I'm naughty. Also I need to sleep, obviously.
