08.10.2025 (1): Transformation
Oct. 8th, 2025 10:27 pmI do think I can feel it when my writing jumps and lives. There is a moment of transformation and the feeling a line tightening. For me, that takes hours and hours, and I unfortunately did not have enough time today (blame work). I did manage some writing in the morning, and some of that was okay enough.
The afternoon, however, the early evening - that turned out to be a disappointment, a little. I did read Deep-Holes (Alice Munro) and gosh that was a striking short story - although Too Much Happiness is a bit of a shift with Alice Munro, I'm not sure I can put my finger on it but more of her stories seem to end abruptly and turn (Wenlock Edge, though gosh that was great too, and Dimensions). I think my favorite so far has been Fiction. A very nice meta ending. I wonder if it was based on a series of encounters with her fans.
