sunshowerdandelionI think I'll try a novel approach and just try to think about my new WIP (yes! A new WIP! It's about scaring Kosuzu!) while I ride the train tomorrow and read Daphne du Maurier's short stories. Today I wrote enough but it was in that exploratory style. I'm still learning Kosuzu, an entirely new character, and I have to prepare for a trip tomorrow so naturally not a lot got done. I think I forgive myself.
I think this is a good idea, this story. The only way to do this is to let it simmer and I'm sure the gruesome ideas will come on their own. And yes it's definitely going to be a horror story but already I think there's going to be a lot of lovey stuff in there as well.
I wanted to read The Life of Chuck from Stephen King but my brain wasn't having it. Instead I read the superviolent and exploitative manga Der Wergelder and then I think I'll move on to Daphne du Maurier. I was tempted to start rereading another Alice Munro short story collection (probably Dance of the Happy Shades) but that will have to wait a little.
I had a lot of time today and I managed to muck it up a bit...
