20.11.2025 (1): Lost and Distracted

sunshowerdandelionWhat a month! Wandering in the wilds, distracted and too tired to care. I have neglected my writing. I have not paid full attention to it and it has slipped past me. I am tired. But as I've said before the direction has always needed to be wrested. Everything effortful is difficult. I thought I had read enough to be able to write, today, but that turned out not to have been true.
I read more of The Narrow Road to the Deep North. Gosh, the author's paragraphs are incredibly beautiful. Tomorrow I will think some more about Kosuzu's horror fiction. I think that will be my focus from now on.
I will have to read about miai and again that will have to wait! It's such a wretched thing not to be focused, and to be carried helpless and bobbing on the tide. As Dorrigo says, everything has become a duty - everything other than writing and reading.
