I had a strange, distracted week. I could have read quite a lot more, I felt: instead, in the evenings, I got distracted by lots of strange stuff, and I got distracted by sounds of all kinds, and strange passing concerns, and couldn't commit to a book beyond The Elementals, although that was a really fun book. I think the whole 'writing while reading' is a bit taxing, and takes me out of the flow of reading somewhat. I've been trying to only notate once per chapter, but that leads to weird pauses and remembering - and flipping back - but I guess that's the point in actually taking notes of something.

I think my fundamental fear is that this will disappear the magic of reading. It has made it a lot more taxing...
