03.02.2026 (1): Tried to Swallow Dune

sunshowerdandelionI really should go get my focusing organs checked.I ended up spending lots of time today doing absolutely nothing significant. I should have read more, written more, thought about reading and writing more. Sad.
I did find a new rhythm to put in my writing. I think I've gotten too used to chop-chop style short sentences, and ever since reading The Heat of the Day, I've tried out longer rhythms. They're a lot more difficult to balance, but I think I'm enjoying trying to write them.
I also tried to read Dune for three hours straight.
