sunshowerdandelion | Day 48.1: Reading Old Works

I read my old works today mostly, and wow they have such strong conviction. Such strong words. I think my writing these days is a little blanched (if more measured), and if I could only get back that spine I think I'll be flying again. Inevitably, I have to create the scaffolding: I think the key is that my previous fic was love-fed, born as it was from love that had no object (I was going through a breakup); now, I'm calmer, but that wild bucking love is missing, and so I have to build it up, feed it, nurture it.

I will do so but gosh work is so inevitable. And also distraction. Still I'm trying to recenter.
