Day 63.2: Hooray Again!

For the first time in a while I wrote quite a lot in the morning! And I wrote it white-hot from an inspiration too, though only tangentially related (it was that Alice Munro short story!) I think in general I feel rushed: as if I don't have much time left, but actually I do, and certainly enough to turn my full time and attention to fanfiction - or more generously, to writing. I think reading stories forces me to slow down and not go on in that weird workplace mindset.
In fact, I think that's precisely it. At work I'm constantly being pushed to meet deadlines, to anticipate the next thing, whereas with writing I really have to take a step back and try to let things come in time. From now on, I think the first thing I have to get rid of is that rushed feeling, that 'dashing off responsibilities' feeling. I have a few ideas.
