Day 144.1: I Almost Made Del Say a Slur

I spent two hours crafting a paragraph where Del says a slur along with her sister, but deleted it. It feels very nice to weigh such matters again, it is genuinely very nice. I think in writing Del wouldn't print the slur, but in person she might, in the heat of the moment, say it.

I'm also reading a memoir about queerness: Two Or Three Things I Know For Sure, and honestly reading and writing were what prevented today from completely capsizing. I have so much work to do! I panic when I think about that! Thank goodness for my two constant angels.
