Day 165.1: Nice Session!

sunshowerdandelionI had a nice time editing and refining Del's 'entering into the student office to meet Ko' scene. It's a bit longer now - quite a bit longer, and I think it serves as a sort of mini-prologue, and as Catherynne Valente put it very eloquently in Radiance, prologues are necessary. So I'm going to let Del just talk about it.
That's the other thing I've let her do: Talk about it, instead of write about it. I've been hung up about the difference between writing as transcribing thoughts and speech, as opposed to writing as writing, with Del being more deliberate in the latter. But I think, for this scene and others, Del's style is rather careful but she's also very desperate to make you feel what she felt, so I think she'll achieve liftoff.
Happy with what I wrote and tweaked today! Also I worked 12 hours and was asked to come to the office at 8 pm. Which I didn't do, obviously.
