Still straying today, though I jotted down some thoughts on Alice's parentage.

I'm straying... I should have worked on my WIPs but jumped to an unrelated WIP. I'm having fun word-spraying but because it's unplanned, I have made no progress on the stuff I'm supposed to be making progress in.
This new character I'm writing is so much fun though, she enjoys ranting.
The WIP is coalescing into a strange maybe magic, maybe mundane thing and I'm loving it. It might be a curse - or it might be that a character is very suggestible.

I watched the BBC, 1960s version of Whistle and I'll Come to You and I really liked it. The truncated way they adapted the short story was really good and the scares were very much effective to me, though there's less Latin to be read. Also the professor is extremely bumbling, which makes him really endearing. The scene where he lectures the Colonel about the supernatural was really great characterization.
